Tobia and Afra Scarpa, a prolific Italian couple and design team, met pursuing architecture degrees at the University of Venice. They are known for their industrial interiors and postmodern, ergonomically-oriented yet elegant furniture, lighting, and glasswork. Their iconic designs are now on display around the world, including four items in the permanent collection at the MoMA.
