A rare "Janus" wing chair and ottoman designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. The Janus Collection modernized the lines of eighteenth-century French chairs, the large, winged bergère and the curved-back cabriolet with his 5761 lounge chair. The set consists of two chairs with wedge shape ottomans, offering unparalleled sitting comfort. Openly independent in design, the generous frames feature a highly angular frame with wings and a deeply channeled tufted backrest add texture. Removable seat cushions, sculptural legs giving the pieces the distinctive look. Restored in a olive green Donghia velvet upholstery.
